breaking news!!!

Our FIRST lost tooth in the Driskell house!!! Quinn lost her tooth in the middle of swimming lessons! Luckily her instructor saved it for her and we were all set for the Tooth Fairy.  When her tooth first became loose, Quinn told me she would rather not have a tooth pillow, she wanted to decorate her own envelope for the Tooth Fairy.  She was SO PROUD! she didn't want me to walk her into school the next day and she made Kathryn promise not to tell anyone, she wanted to show everyone on her own first.  Love this girl & time is flying by too fast!!

the tooth fairy brought Quinn 5 $1 wrapped in a fancy handkerchief and she was beyond thrilled ;)

Happy Easter!!

What a great Easter we had this year, so fun-- our first holiday in the new house!!! And on Easter Sunday, I FINALLY broke out my camera to get a cute picture of the girls! Never fear Dean, I WILL find the tripod and we will have a family pic on the new stoop soon ;)

First, we'll start off with one of many egg hunts we had with friends earlier in the week.  I didn't take pics at all of them, but what fun we had!! The neighbors went ALL out on their egg hunts!!  This one was in Roswell at one of the historic homes

Cooper and Quinn are usually the oldest, so they were so happy to have each other at the egg hunt

here we are at the top of the stairs, Easter morning!!

excuse the mess-- home in progress!!! painting & bookshelves coming soon

I took some pictures of the girls out front before church

So we went to Catholic Mass for the first time since the girls have really been old enough to sit in "Grown up church".  We have been going to Northbrook, since they have a kids church.  I was a little nervous about the girls attention span and an entire Catholic Mass, but they did INCREDIBLE! I packed them each a notebook and pen in case they got fidgety and told them they could "take notes" if they wanted.  We sat right up front and their attentions did not waiver.  I was so proud! Kathryn twirled to all of the songs and everyone around her commented at the end of mass on what a good dancer she was.  And Quinn, well, her notes speak for themselves.

here we are later in the day at the neighborhood egg hunt & sundae social

not too many pics of Quinn this afternoon-- she was so busy running around and did not want to stop to pose for the camera!!

catching up on the craziness

Life has been a blur since the move-- a mix between boxes and organizing, painting rooms, new fences, lights, the girls have learned several house terms like "backsplash" and "master", (Quinn is now an aspiring interior designer), school, soccer, swim, tennis and fun activities with new and old friends.  One day we will get this house in order but in the mean time-- we are still having fun!!

Daddy's Day with Kathryn

swim lessons started back up!!

Kathryn's class mascot, "Theo" came home with us for a week, here they are after he slid down the laundry shoot

Theo came to the dentist

Soccer practice!!!

Quinn's first soccer game

Kathryn just LOVES soccer.  she is by far the smallest and therefore the slowest, but she has so much fun and just loves being there.  She cried and cried the other day when her game was rained out

Quinn and Cooper are little buddies on and off the field,  they have been known to hold hands some, even during the games ;)

Mommy day with Kathryn's class

first pony rides!

THIS was a big day, Kindergarden roundup at Birmingham falls, what FUN! we toured the school and went to lunch with some friends after.  Quinn can't wait to get there.  Mommy starts to cry every time I think about it!!

here we are at Tanglewood farms, a little field trip to see the baby animals

last sibling picture day at school!!! love the dresses, but Kathryn wouldn't leave without her PAPA socks & orange shoes.  glad to know pics are only chest up!

and this is what happens when you get on FaceTime with PaPa and tell him you would "really prefer that my reading nook had a chandelier"
