9 Months

Quinn turned 9 months on the 7th!! So hard to believe that her next dr's apt will be at one year...

Her check-up went well, here are the newest stats:
head: 44cm
height: 28 1/4"
weight: 20 lbs 15 3/4oz
Two things we need to follow up on this month:

Her clogged tear duct hasn't made as much progress as we had hoped, so we will go to an optomologist to see if they can help clear it up.

Also, she has a birthmark on her head that we will check on with a dermatologist. The Dr said that usually derms like to remove these, as they can sometimes turn into skin cancer, but usually wait until the child turns 18. We will see the recommended dermatologist for a second opinion.

We were getting a little bored with the same old toys, so Quinn & Mommy did some shopping!! We got a few new toys, but her favorite by far is the ball...

I'll post some cute videos of Quinn with her new toys soon, having some issues with getting them uploaded!

4th of July & Dean's Birthday

We had an eventful 4th of July weekend. On Friday, we were lucky enough to get an invite to the Perez house, where we are always welcomed with fun, drinks, & TONS of delicious food! Quinn took a quick dip in the pool & spent the rest of her time socialising and avoiding a nap.

Friday night we met up Kelly, Shawn, John, & Godsey to celebrate Godsey's birthday, Mexican-style!

On the 4th of July- Juan, Gerb, & Dana all met me at the Peachtree Road Race (largest 10k in the world), we had fun running the race-- what we could run of it. Most of our numbers were very far in the back (90,000's), so we spent much of the race walking & weaving around the other runners.

Here are some more pictures of us crossing the finish line:

That night Dean & I took Quinn to Will's park for some 4th of July festivities.
We hung out for a while & eventually moved our picnic back home. Quinn couldn't quite stay up for the fireworks, but she had fun trying!

The 8th was Dean's birthday- Quinn & I took him to breakfast to celebrate, but I think Quinn had the most fun-- she absolutely LOVED the pancakes. She couldn't be bothered to stop for a picture and we had to move her seat back in order to keep her from licking the table after they were gone!

Later that day, Quinn showed me something else new-- she has 2 new teeth coming in! The middle two on the top. Couldn't quite get a picture of them yet, but she was posing pretty cute!

A visit from The Hill Family

We had a fun couple of days with the newest round of Hill Kids! I must admit, we were a little nervous to have 5 children visiting but, as always, Neinei & Uncle Dan had everything under control. Can you believe they traveled for over 2 weeks, with 5 kids and everything packed in this car?!

I didn't get to witness any hair brushing (suffer for beauty), but she did make the kids pick up some of Quinn's toys. This round seems to get away with a little more than the first round, but I guess that is what grandparents were for ;) Really, the kids were so sweet & well behaved, even Sophia! And Quinn was just so happy to have them here, she is amazed by other children.

We had a lazy day on Tuesday, and Uncle Dan & Aunt Denise treated us all to a yummy dinner at the Fickle Pickle that night-- plus cookies for desert & Batman on the "big screen" made for a perfect day!

Quinn had so much fun with the cousins that she just couldn't bare to take her nap the day they were leaving, we got her up and she played with them until they left. I think she is still wondering where they went!

Thanks guys for a great couple of days, it means so much to have my family here to visit us!!
