merry merry merry merry Christmas!

the week leading up to Christmas was no exception to the rest of the month-- we kept ourselves very busy getting ready for the big day!

here is Quinn's Christmas party, I didn't get to attend, but one of the other mommies was thoughtful enough to send this along

yay! I got to go to a Christmas party at school!! Kathryn & I had so much fun celebrating with her friends

here we are with Aunt Laur, who knows where we were going but somewhere special, I'm sure--we kept her very busy this week!

gingerbread house making

they ate half the icing and gumdrops trying to put it together
even Dorothy got into the Christmas spirit

live nativity at the girls school--- so fun but very cold!!
here is a video Lauren took of Kathryn singing Jingle Bells while we drove around and looked at the Christmas lights.

surprise! uncle Christian booked a last minute flight and came to visit

Nana & PaPa showed up next

too funny
here we are on our way to church on Christmas Eve

putting out the reindeer food. they do this every year.  Papa & Quinn have this down pat

ONE present before we go to bed, can anyone guess what it is??!

PJs??! how convenient!!

right after I put the cookies & milk out for Santa

as soon as the rest of us walked away..

hmm... maybe, I'll just taste one more... surely Santa won't mind

sis got in on the action

uh-oh...

said bye-bye to the elf (Max the Elf as Kathryn calls him, Quinn changed his name every day this year)

we did all get pjs this year, and we coordinated with the Koch's, and the Browns, as usual :) I just didn't get a group shot... next year!

I've never seen them so excited to go to bed before

here they are the next morning... you can just see the anticipation! we didn't torment quite as bad as PaPa would have liked--only one stair picture this year!

Elf's good-bye

Such a GREAT Christmas & it meant so much to have our family here to celebrate with us!!

Driskell Family Christmas

We just recently went to Alabama to celebrate Christmas with the Driskells.  Kelly & Ryan so graciously hosted the entire group (except Poppy & Eliza who ended up coming down with Croup and was in no condition to travel :( so that amounted to 9 kids, 7 adults, and 4 dogs!! What fun and the weekend was just perfect, minus Eliza and Poppy.  Here are some of the pictures..

Mary Fran is so great with the little ones these days.  She dressed up Quinn, did the girls' nails, and even taught a little arts and crafts lesson

Kathryn could have chased the doggies around all day

the weather was perfect-- the kids played outside all day

here's the kids table.  they've got my number now-- here they are all trying their hardest not to look at the camera.  Except Mal, she smiles anytime I ask her to ;)

making reindeer food

such a cute group of kids ;)
