So, I post mostly pictures on this blog-- pictures of fun times that I want the girls to be able to look back on and smile. I’m going to make an exception and hope there won’t be too many of these. I’m posting about this because I want Quinn to look back and see how even as a two/three-year old, she was so brave and so sweet. And I am so very proud of her for being who she is and always making the best of any situation.
Well, Quinn gave us quite a scare just about a week ago. She had a bad case of Croup that snuck up on us. She started coughing pretty bad Sunday morning and was having a real tough time breathing, so I rushed her to the Children’s immediate med, where they set us up to take a HELICOPTER right to CHOA...and yes that’s right, I said helicopter... and not quite the way I imagined us taking our first helicopter rides either. I was a panicked mess by that time, but Quinn was so calm it helped me hang in there. We were discharged that night and sent right back in the morning by our pediatrician.
I was right by her side through the entire 4 days and by Wednesday, we were SO ready to go home. Luckily, Dean was in town, so he & Kathryn held down the fort at home. Bethany was able to come by and hang out with her a few times so that Daddy could visit with us in the hospital.
I snapped a couple of iphone pics during our stay, mostly because I was just so proud of how brave and sweet she was through the whole ordeal. Love you so much Pumpkin & we couldn’t be prouder of you and happier you are better. xoxo
