Happy Thanksgiving!

What a great Thanksgiving we had! We packed up and flew to Tulsa to see Nana, PaPa, & Aunt Laur!

Here are some (a bunch of) pictures from our trip

first thing in the morning, nana pulled out an apron for Quinn to help cook

what a helper!

Kathryn & Daddy watched

loving her Nana

and Nana's jewelry

people constantly tell me Kathryn looks like a baby doll-- so true, isn't it?
This is my dress from when I was a baby-- so sweet!

Papa took Quinn to the playground for a little while, we had to bundle her up in Nana's scarf, hat & socks for mittens!

Shopping Day!!
Quinn picked these out and announced that they were for Uncle Aaron

what a cutie pie!!

so much fun at Nana's house

new slippers from Nana

Quinn says they make her dance ;)
Daddy being a good sport during his football game

She wanted to wake Papa up soooo bad!
but was a little nervous

now, here is the day Quinn has been counting down for--- Santa day! Before the trip, if we asked her who she was going to Tulsa to see, she said Nana & Santa Claus.
Oh & note the necklace-- that is Nana's & she wears it faithfully every year.  Quinn LOVED it!

awe, Quinn wanted Kathryn to hold the necklace for the pictures, "there go baby kathryn"!
just loved Kathryn's socks--- thanks again Kris!

Quinn snuck in a little private time with Santa-- but she froze up! I couldn't believe it-- she was so ready! she wanted to ask Santa for: a kitchen set, a necklace, screwdriver, and a ball for her sister.  But stage fright hit and all she could say was "yes" to everything he asked!!

but both girls were so sweet to Santa!

the sun was getting ready to set, so we took a walk around Nana's neighborhood to look at the lights (they are crazy-serious about their lights in Tulsa, not putting lights up is frowned upon!)

Nana's lights

Papa and Quinn-- Nana & Papa loaded her up in the car (PJs & all) to see the lights when it got dark and of course she loved it!

What a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Catch-up and a visit with the Driskell Girls

Here are a couple of pictures (mostly from the iphone) that I wanted to save from the past few weeks and a few with our visit with the Driskell girls

Blair meeting Kathryn, checking her out

Quinn is very into my slippers these days
love this, this is when I realized it was time to loose the swaddle

The Driskell girls came for a visit recently while the Daddies went to Auburn to watch football.
We had SOOOO much fun, can you believe I only took one picture of baby Eliza??! And I  barely got these shots of the older girls, boy are they fast!!
Mal & Audrey were so great with Quinn....who is just starting to learn about sharing.  Quinn couldn't get enough of their necklaces... wants to ask Santa for one now

Doesn't seem to matter the age, they all love dress-up!

love this one too--- I have a picture of Quinn just like this, I'll need to dig that one up!

there is a smile!! and she is getting so good at it too, always giggling & laughing

what wonderful houseguests!!  Nana Q sent these to Quinn-- she opened them and immediately declared the mop a "wand like Abby's" (on Sesame Street)

here we are out to lunch.  so sweet & they love each other so much!!

Thanks girls, for making the trip, it means so much to us!!

thanks for coming by kelly, it is so nice to have company!

so cute, he has a devious smile already, I can almost hear Shawn's giggle

gotta love this one, looks like Kathryn isn't going to take any funny business, she must have been listening during Dean's lecture on boys!

Happy Halloween!!

Excuse the long post and tons of pictures, but we had such a good time this past week and I wanted to make sure we remember every last bit of it!

This was the first Halloween that Quinn was able to go trick or treating and wow, did we have fun! She dressed up like a butterfly this year. The first time she wore the costume was for her Halloween party at school. I took about a million pictures before we left, because I was sure she would destroy it on the playground!!

Quinn was being so funny about her wings, she kept trying to fly!

Later that night, she got to wear it again for a very special "Daddy & Me" party at school.  I was SO sad that I didn't get to go.  I was really tempted to dress up and sneak in! But Dean did a great job of taking pictures so they could show me everything they did.

note the "tie" around Quinn's neck, they made these for the daddy's at school, but Quinn wouldn't let Dean wear his!

I love this-- the "after" shot! notice the paint & cookie crumbs everywhere.  she had such a good time with her daddy!

On Saturday, Quinn & I went to Wills Park for some more Halloween fun!

soo tired, I had to wake her up from her nap to go!

she is sporting a shirt her buddy "bair" gave her.... the Verdigets weren't feeling too great this year , so the girls didn't get to see each other dressed up ;(

she could have stayed in here for hours
while we were gone Dean & Kathryn had some quality time...

and speaking of Kathryn, can you believe she is already THREE MONTHS OLD???!! and still as cute as can be!

On Halloween, Juan and Bethany came to visit and check in on the girls.

That night, Dean & I dressed the girls up and took Quinn trick or treating.  She had SO much fun, she wanted to go in EVERY house and loved seeing all of the other kids and the decorations along the way!

Quinn with Landon, our neighbor

we made sure the first house we went to was Melissa's (the girls' baby-sitter).  Quinn didn't know what to think..

but she got SO excited when she realized Melissa was there!

hmmm, this isn't too bad!!

Kathryn LOVED trick or treating!

Quinn was so excited to see all of the decorations

"hello ghost!"

And when we got home, the girls each had a little snack.

Quinn's first piece of candy, and to say she enjoyed it would be an understatement.  When it was time for bed, she went upstairs crying "MORE CANDY"!!  When she said her prayers, it was "Dear God, thank you for Mommy, Daddy, Candy, Baby Sister..."
