Summer Vacation 2009

We started the trip off with a stop to have lunch with Bampa, Aunt Kelly, Uncle Ryan, Mary Fran, Knox, & Leo. Quinn had a blast (she has a special liking for Mary Fran), and the 3 of us were so happy to have some time with the Kids, Bampa, & Kelly.

Next we stopped for a visit at Nana Kat's. It was so nice to see her & Quinn had a blast. She just adored the puppy dogs, laughed & laughed whenever they were in the room. We did not bring out one toy for the 2 days we were there!

From Summer Vacation 2009

Next we started our second annual McGrath/Verdigets/Driskell vacation. We had two new additions this year-- Quinn & the Verdigets new little one, Blair. Blair is about 3 months younger than Quinn, but aside from sitting up, she seems to be on the same schedule as Quinn. For Quinn, it was love at first sight.... it took Blair a little while to get adjusted to Quinn.

Our house this year was in a great location. We stayed in the Seacrest neighborhood; our house was a couple of blocks from the beach & across the street from a beautiful resort-style pool.

Taking after her mommy, Quinn's "beach hair" came out immediately.

Both girls LOVED the pool, and it really wore them out-- I've never seen Quinn nap so good!

We celebrated Father's Day by heading out to our favorite-- Acme. The oysters were wonderful as usual & we enjoyed a nice walk around the Wharf after.

We continued having a wonderful week, with lots of yummy dinners--

One day the guys golfed and then we had a girls' night at Georges (which continued at home ;)

we had a sitter two nights (thanks to Kimberly for helping us find Ms Mary!)

One night we walked down to the beach & after Felix presented us with this masterpiece

The rest of the vacation was just having fun, relaxing, & playing

The last night we were there, we tried a new Mexican restaurant, here is Quinn all ready, trying to figure out what was on her feet

She decided to have a taste of what was on Shawn's plate-- cute at first, but this will not become a habit!

After dinner we took one last stroll to the beach...

And we are already looking forward to next year!!

Happy Anniversary!

Happy 2nd Anniversary to us! We got a sitter & had a nice dinner at Indigo, in Historic Roswell. A perfect evening!

Laur & Aaron's Wedding Weekend

We traveled to Dallas this weekend for Laur's wedding.

The weekend started out with a girl's night where Aaron's Aunt Linda treated us to a great dinner at the local wine bar.

Friday night, the Browns had us over for a Texas style BBQ and it was DELICIOUS!!

Saturday morning came quickly- and with a little hair/makeup drama, we were at the ceremony before we knew it. The ceremony was beautiful, intimate at the Dallas arboretum. Quinn was the cutest flower girl ever and was very well behaved. She "walked" down the isle with me & I passed her off to her daddy after a few minutes.

Media Girls & Pox

Nikki D & SueBabe came for a visit this weekend!

We had a blast, on Friday night we had a girls' night - went out in Historic Roswell & checked out the wine at each of the restaurants. We cabbed it home where Dean welcomed us with yummy deserts from the bakery!

Sat. Nikki D & I laid out by the [baby] pool where she informed me that my "bug bites" were spreading.... I went to the minute clinic to find out that I have Shingles!! I was sent to the ER to get medicine to speed the recovery along so that I lower the risk to spread Chicken Pox to Quinn!

That night, Kimberly came for a visit (and brought a very beautiful gift for Quinn)

along with Juan & Bethany, for bakery pizza & wine. YUUMM!

Come Sunday, we found a suspicious bump on Quinn's arm.... Is it Chicken Pox?? Not sure we will ever find out, but don't think it was.

On Labor Day Quinn & I ventured out to Juan & Bethany's pool today. She looked like hot stuff, but needs to work on her pool etiquette, she got cranky after about 45 minutes, and started complaining!!
