Happy Birthday to You!!

Quinn turned ONE today!! We can hardly believe it. It feels like this year has gone by quicker than any other. W have had so much fun, learned a ton and grown more than we could have imagined. Quinn, we thank God for you each and every day!!

For Quinn's birthday dinner, we wanted to taker her to her favorite restaurant, (Original House of Pancakes) but it wasn't open for dinner. So we went to Alpha Soda & ordered her some Pancakes. Of course, she was teething pretty bad and was on a food strike. She tasted them, made a "yuck face" and proceeded to throw them on the floor...

After dinner, we came home & opened gifts!

Thank you kisses

WVU & 1 yr check-up

With Daddy out of town & WVU playing on a Thursday night, Quinn & I packed up and headed over to the Perez's to watch the game. Here are some pics before we left...

Also...Quinn had her one year check-up today!

The Doctor gave her a good report...
22.5 lbs, and a little low on her iron. Her shots were terrible this time around, Quinn was not happy with the nurse or her Mommy for letting that happen. We go back in 4 more weeks for round 2 of her flu shot. We also got the go-ahead for whole milk... bye-bye formula!!

After lunch today, we went to have some professional pictures taken. Quinn was in a pretty good mood (considering this morning's events) and I think we will get some great pics out of it--I will post them once they are ready! The photographer put one of the pics up on her blog:

So cute!!

Almost One... some catch up..

Well, we recently had a big day in the Driskell household. WVU played AU for the second year. For the game, Miss Quinn wore neutral colors, but the day before...

And of course, we had to get her in all AU colors..

With 8 teeth now in her mouth, we had to start brushing...

Here she is in the dress her daddy bought her...
playing with Doggie..

Labor Day Weekend

Quinn and I took our last trip of the summer to Oklahoma & Texas! We started our trip in Tulsa to visit Nana & Grandpop Quinn.

Nana, of course made sure the house was perfect, complete with "punkin" food

and toys!

Quinn also experience sitting in grass for the first time. It was too funny, she kept trying to lift one of her legs up!!

From there we drove with Nana out to see Aunt Laur & Uncle Aaron's new house!

While we were there, Quinn perfected pulling herself up & (it helped that she was super-excited to meet baby Charlotte :)

Oh yeah, and it was game day!

Inspecting Uncle Aaron's teeth

After our stay in Dallas, we headed back to Tulsa for a few days and some time with Grandpop before heading home.

Quinn's First Day of "School"

Today was Quinn's first day of Mother's Morning Out. As expected, she was just fine, except for the fact that her mom had a camera in her face all morning....

We took Doggie with us, just to be safe

When I went back in to pick her up, the teachers informed me, "sorry but she didn't seem to miss you at all"!
