Dance Class Party & Recital

It's so hard to believe yet another year has gone by... and it's even harder to believe that these girls have been dancing together since they were in the "baby" class! Miss Pam wanted to celebrate for their last dance class, so they let Mommies & siblings in, practiced their recital routine one last time, and then it was PARTY TIME!  As you can see, the girls had a blast, let loose and giggled nonstop.

Miss Pam gave them each some fun ballerina gifts, wings & wands for our little princesses
my heart melted & I couldn't have been more proud then when Quinn asked Miss Pam if Kathryn could have a wand and dance with the big girls

On recital day, Quinn was more nervous than I've ever seen her.  She had a right to be... they had already been through a dress rehearsal and knew what they were in for.  It was the BIG stage (Roswell Cultural Arts Center) with lights and big girl ballerinas.  But still, I was completely caught off guard and finally got her out of the house by promising her a new princess dress ;)

They did not allow cameras in the theater during the actual event, so some of the pictures below are from dress rehearsal, and some are from the big day.  As you can see, even the little ones were required to have full-on make-up; thank goodness for Miss Pam because I had no idea how to get mascara & lipstick on a 3.5year old, let alone EYE SHADOW EYE and EYE LINER!! (we skipped that one ;)
As soon as we got out of the car, Quinn started to loosen up and get excited
before we knew it, we were in the dressing room & Miss Pam was doing touch-ups & most importantly--- sprinkling pixie dust!!

no fears & ready to go!!

the dance school was having recitals from 10-7 all weekend.  Quinn's recital was 10am on Sat. and it was a FULL house, completely sold out!!
they danced to "Fly to Your Heart" the theme song to the Tinker Bell movie.  Quinn is in the back row in this picture (from dress rehearsal).

She did great during the rehearsal, but she did OUTSTANDING during the live show!  I must have seen her practice that dance 100 times, and it was by far her best.

I will have to order the DVD and maybe post a clip up on the blog one day, I am tearing up just thinking about it!

Oh, she was so happy & proud of herself afterwards and pink roses to match her dress topped everything off

Kathryn watched Quinn on stage during the dress rehearsal (so cute, after the dance you could hear her across the auditorium scream "SIS!!" when Quinn left the stage;) but on the big day, Kathryn hung out with Miss Melissa
after the show we took Quinn to celebrate over pancakes!

WE LOVE YOU QUINNIE QUINN AND WE ARE SOOO PROUD OF YOU!!!! XOXOXOX
