Spring Beach Trip

We just (recently) got back from our spring beach trip.  This year we stayed in Watersound with the McGraths.  The Verdigets weren't able to come with us this year, but they had a good reason--their newest addition, Baby Carter was still to young to be out & about.  We missed them very much but hopefully we will all be together at next year's trip!  Sorry for all of the pictures... just so many memories and I couldn't choose which ones to leave out!

we started the trip out with a sleepover at Nana Kat's

Do you think they had fun?! Have you ever seen a little girl laugh so hard that her tonsils show in a picture??! Quinn just loves those doggies!

The first few days in Watersound were pretty chilly, even too cold & windy for Dean to be out on the beach.... But we had no trouble finding fun activities to fill the days

we were lucky enough to have a little park right outside our door.  we did lots of swinging,

played some football
found some seashells
Nana Kat came for some fun
who knew how much fun a $1 beach ball could be
of course, we took some pictures

the neighborhood had tons of cute little boardwalks
worked on Gavin's hairdo

by the middle of the week the weather was perfect, and to make it even better, we basically had the entire beach to ourselves!

I was thrilled to find out that Kathryn is still a beach girl

love that belly ;)

no shortage of dancing from Quinn

love this.  Dean & Shawn have been best friends since they were kids

we did not leave the technology at home-- these kids can work an iphone better than many adults!

of course one night we went out on the beach to watch the sunset

not sure Quinn would accept a beach trip without saying "bye" to the sun

....and this is our family shot for the trip-- the girls were soaking wet from playing it the water and we are just a mess. probably won't frame this one, but fun times to remember!

Quinn was very serious about her sand projects

yep, another year of matching suits ;)
only way to keep 'em still

lunch by the pool

love it when i can see a little glimpse of "baby" in Quinn-- she is growing so fast!

out playing at Rosemary
"Self"! Kathryn is learning to be independent

After dinner we let loose a little... the kids all had ice cream & cookies when we got home
they LOVED it.... and with all that sugar in their systems, I think we had an hour straight of giggling & dancing kids

Kathryn's dance party moves, sorry baby too cute not to put these here!
oh, what fun we had and what a great way to kick off summer!!

  1. These make me so sad, but so happy at the same time! Looks like the kids had so much fun together! I can't even imagine adding 2 more to the mix. Hope the boys all get promoted so we can rent a mansion! LOL!
