Trip to Tulsa

Dean headed out to Mobile for a weekend with the Croom's, so Quinn & I thought it would be the perfect time to pack up and head out to Tulsa for a long weekend!  We had so much fun, here are some of the pictures!

Dad stayed home on Friday to show us around town...

I love this-- not the best photo, but just a reminder of what Granddaughters can get away with... Dad was exhausted from a long day of punkin chasing.  All he wanted was a nap, but Quinn was not having it.  She went and found one of Sparky's squeaking balls and made all kinds of noise until he got up!

Nana, of course, had everything ready for us-- she even had a bubble lawn mower waiting for Quinn

On Sat, we went to a huge water pad and park in Bixby

Nana & Grandpa's pool is so nice and relaxing.  And of course, Nana had the perfect float waiting for Quinn

Quinn was very into hugs this trip, I think she is learning how to charm 'em ;)

Another day, another park!  They have so many fun things for kids to do around Tulsa-- it seems like there is a park on every corner

We had so much fun-- now if only we could convince everyone to move closer, we just don't get to do this often enough!!

3rd Anniversary & Father's Day

It feels like all I say lately is how quickly time is going by.  It is hard to believe that it has been three years since Dean & I got married. Just three short years ago we were headed to the beach filled with anticipation---I was beyond excited for our LONG awaited wedding ;)  I remember being so amazed at how perfect everything was and so touched at the turnout we had from friends and family.  I look back at the pictures and feel like it was just yesterday...

BUT at the same time, I can't believe where we are just three short years later!!  A BEAUTIFUL little girl (Quinn is now 20 months, by the way) and one on the way (7 short weeks left until Kathryn's due date). We are so blessed and we thank God each and every day for what he has given us and the love that surrounds our family.

So, on Friday, Dean & I went out to celebrate.

On sat, we experimented with our anniversary gift--- if you can believe it, Dean was up at 6:15 on a Saturday to start cooking on the Big Green Egg.  I didn't get many pictures, but Quinn was THRILLED to see everyone and sooo excited to see her "Bare" (Blair) again.

And on Sunday we celebrated Father's Day with Dean since we all won't be together next weekend (Dean is off on a boys trip and Quinn & I are headed to Tulsa for the weekend).  We went to the park and took Dean to his favorite places for lunch (Pancake House) and Dinner (Village Tavern)-- yummm!!

It has also been unbearably hot here in GA, so we finally broke out the baby pool... here are a few shots I took of Quinn..

And last but not least--- here is our 33 week belly picture!!  Kathryn is doing great, she is still kicking up a storm and seems to be growing by the hour!

And when we got home from the beach...

Quinn had a blast at the beach, but she was sure glad to be home "with her own dear things", as the Driskells say.

She had a so much fun reacquainting herself with her toys and just being goofy. Here are a couple of videos of her own private dance party-- personally, I can't get enough of her "shaking it"!

(turn volume up)
Quinn's Happy Dance

And she is really getting into it here...

Beach Vacation

We just got back from a wonderful beach vacation! We rented a house again this year with the Verdigets in Seacrest. It was so nice to get away and we had such a great time! Looking back, it is hard to believe an entire year has gone by since our last vacation.

The girls are so different from a year ago, mainly because of their mobility and their ability to speak their minds/share opinions-- it make the trip more fun, but also WAY more exhausting!

Here are Blair and Quinn one year ago

And this year...

Well, Tara & I each just took a class to better learn how to use our cameras and much to Felix & Dean's dismay, we spent much of the time practicing--- we took over 600 pictures each during the trip! It was hard to narrow it down, but here are some of my favorites to sum up our time at the beach.

Quinn LOVED the water, both the beach and the pool!

Nana Kat came out for a few visits...

The girls were NEVER thrilled when it came to picture time...

But we managed to capture a few smiles along the way!

They were ALWAYS going somewhere

This one just about sums up our trip!

I love this picture with Nana Kat!
We also managed to sneak in 2 date nights!!

The girls were really sweet with each other, little buddies

30 Week belly picture!!

We had such a nice time and what a way to kick off the summer!!
